Overcomplexity, the analysis of fragments of an infinite construct. Channeling vast amounts of data and impressions, breaking them into segments, bringing them into a new form as a propulsive task in my daily design practice. Searching for a narrative not only in images and text but also in garments and the physical. Deliberate research into a treated subject area is the essence and foundation of a conscious practice. Awareness of the past enabling a source of inspiration, new connections, or even a revival of the old into a new form of the present. I perceive research as the root of my own creation, and as a transdisciplinary bridge connecting subject, form of art, designer and beholder. Engaging with interdisciplinary artists and subjects, researching them in greater depth, and spinning a narrative through imagery and language is central to my practice. It allows me to combine a passion for research with a fascination for narrative through images and the art of language — while implementing variable perspectives and new narrative forms.
What I offer is an eye and awareness for aesthetics, the image, a sense for its combination and staging. The ability to work with given material, the yet unknown and unpredictable. The determination for in-depth research. Therein losing. Analysing. Restructuring. Hyrarchising. Contextualizing. Digitizing the analog — Translating the digital into a haptic context. A feel for words. Curiosity. Collaboration. Endurance. The willingness to persevere until a vision is realized.
